When I was getting ready for my mission, my bishop asked if I knew that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was the Lord’s church restored to the earth. I told him that I thought so, but I wasn’t completely sure. So he wisely said, “Well, it would be pretty hard to be a missionary if you don’t know that.” I agreed with him.
You see, I had just gotten out of a really hard situation which involved a lot of brain-washing and manipulation, and I had become very unsure of what I knew and didn’t know.
But deep down inside I did know that this was the Lord’s church, and that was why I wanted to serve a mission to share that with people. I just didn’t know that knew.
I’ve gone through several things like this in my life. It is such a good experience when you finally do know that you know. It is such a wonderful feeling when you realize that you do.
