One of my daughters was severely persecuted by a group of very unkind boys in middle school. The damage was so profound that she still hasn't fully recovered even after a full decade. Universal kindness is the only acceptable standard. Unfortunately it is all to easy to fall short. This is a very nice post. Holly, I love the quote.
