Hi everyone! I decided to do a piecemeal post today

1. When I took my last final on Wednesday, it was all I could do to not go skipping out of the testing center. Now I can study what I want to study! Wait, didn’t I get to choose my classes? Okay, anyway…

2. On the way home from BYU on Thursday around 3:00, in my mom’s car, filled with my stuff, I was stopped at a stoplight with the window down, and I hear a man in the car next to me, say, “Excuse me,” (oh, no he’s talking to me) “Do you know where the protest is?” Turning to look I realized that it wasn’t just one guy, it was four guys, all eyes on me.. “Uh…I don’t know” I answered, half-scared, and half-disgusted that they would be pestering me when they obviously did not need to be told where “the protest” was… Then he says, okay, “have a nice day” in that tone that screams out, I’m going to be nice to you, even though you are too prideful to be nice to us….Then the light turned and one of the guys started yelling something. All I caught was “Go back to the bookstore…”

3. When I was about half way home (same trip as #2), in the oncoming traffic, I see about 15 motorcycles with flashing lights riding in a row down road. I looked at the clock, yep about 3:30, it must be the vice-president. And then a little later, I see about 10 police cars, an ambulance, other official looking cars, and a group of motorcycles bringing up the rear. That was kind of cool!

4. Last Sunday at ward prayer my Bishop told us about one of his favorite movies, Swing Time. He shared part of the lyrics to one of the songs, that goes like this, “Nothing’s impossible I have found, For when my chin is on the ground, I pick myself up, Dust myself off, Start all over again. Don’t lose your confidence if you slip, Be grateful for a pleasant trip, And pick yourself up, Dust yourself off, Start all over again.” (Dorothy Fields) I really like that!

5. My bank called the other day to verify a $2.05 transaction that I had made online. I bought an mp3 recording of “Finlandia” by Sibelius. So I asked the man if they usually had problems with those kinds of transactions, and he said, “no, it’s just an unusual transaction for you so it came up on our monitor” (Yep, it was actually the first song I’ve purchased online ;) ) Call me a laggard if you must.

6. If any of you are still reading my blog, uh, I’m sorry. No wait, that sounds bad, I mean, I’m sorry that I haven’t responded to hardly any of your comments. I could say that I have been busy with finals, moving, and that I am new to blogging, but in the time that I have spent thinking of these excuses over the last week or so, I could’ve been responding! Oops, I shall now go and relieve my conscience :)
